General Counselor
General Counselors are 18 years or older and oversee a designated group of campers and help maintain their daily routine. General responsibilities include identifying and meeting camper’s needs as well as assisting the Unit and Activity Heads. General counselors not only accompany campers to and from activities they also assist and participate in all activity areas and in the Unit.
Unit Head
In charge of a group of campers or activity area. They help carryout camp programs and policies and also supervise, direct and set a positive example for other staff members. Head Counselors are 21 or older or have special certifications that pertain to an activity area.

Activity Counselor
Activity Counselors are 18 years or older and provide lessons and instruct all age groups in one or more activity areas. They work in the areas of horseback riding, performing arts, aquatics, sports and fine arts and crafts.
Horseback Riding Counselor
Under the supervision of the Equestrian Director, cooperate with other riding staff in providing riding instruction for campers. Instruction involves lessons in the ring, trail rides on private trails, river rides and stable management classes. Assist with the care of the tack, the riding rings, barns and stalls.
All staff live in cabins with campers and other counselors and have daily responsibilities within the Unit.
Nurse
We hire two nurses for each camp session. Nurses must be licensed RN’s or NP’s. Compensation is either a salary or a salary/tuition trade if bringing a daughter. We have a modern, air conditioned infirmary where we have two private rooms for our 2 nurses with a shared bathroom and two large rooms to house campers and staff who require medical attention. They share two bathrooms. We are located thirty minutes from Winchester Medical Center, a large regional trauma center. We have daily access to medical professionals (as needed) including Pediatricians, Orthopedists, Dentists and Orthodontists. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, medication distribution, record keeping, treatment of campers and counselors.
