Please read this email thoroughly for important information for your daughter's arrival to camp.

WHEN
Arrival time is between 10:30 am and 1:00 pm.  Lunch for campers will be served at 1:00 pm.  Activities for campers begin at 2:00 pm.  Please try to arrive in plenty of time to allow your daughters to participate in those activities without feeling rushed.

GETTING HERE
Please follow the directions that we give on our website.  If you would like to use your GPS, please make sure you use our directions once your are on Route 50.  Every year families are directed by their GPS down a dirt road and through the river.  Do not go on Route 23/2.  Although the ride can be fun, let's not make it way super fun!

WHAT TO DO
  • As you pull through our main gate, you will be greeted by our counselors who will provide you with an envelope that contains
      • Health Update Form
      • Camper Rules and Policy Form
      • Color Coded Luggage Stickers
      • Name Tag for your Daughter
      • Camp Map
  • Our Staff will show you where to park.
  • Place the bag tags on your luggage and have your daughter put on her name tag.
  • Once your daughter's luggage is removed from your car and labeled with color coded stickers, our staff will take the luggage to her cabin. Opening Day 5
  • Please proceed to the Sports Pavilion where you will be greeted by our counselors who will provide your daughter with a camper tee shirt.
  • Please complete the Health Update Form and Camper Rules and Policy Form while at the Sports Pavilion.
  • Please proceed to the Welcome Center with your completed forms.

WELCOME CENTER
  • Once you arrive at the Welcome Center,  you will see registration lines as well as the Nurses' Station.  We should already have your medical form by now, but if you have not sent yours in yet, make sure you fax us a copy as soon as possible and bring the original with you.
  • If you do not have any medication, please turn in the Health Update Form in the registration line.  If you have medication or have questions for our nurses, please make sure you meet with our nurses and turn the form in to them at that time.  The campers are not allowed to keep their medications in their cabins. All medications must be in their original containers.
  • At the registration line, you will be informed what cabin your daughter will be staying in.  If you have a bunkmate request that we are not aware of, please contact us immediately.  It is difficult to make adjustments to the cabin assignments on Opening Day and can be quite disruptive to your daughter as well as other children during their first moments at camp.
  • Our Camp Store will be open during registration.  You may purchase any items you forgot as well as our ever popular camp clothing such as sweatshirts, tee shirts and shorts.
  • After you have completed registration, one of our Junior Counselors will escort  you to your daughter's cabin.  Once you arrive at your daughter's cabin, you will have an opportunity to meet  your daughter's counselors and quickly help your daughter get settled in.  When  your daughter is settled into her cabin, you can return to the Welcome Center if you have any questions and then head home
HEAD LICE
We check all campers for head lice or nits on Opening Day.  If your daughter is found to have head lice, we will call you to return to camp to take your daughter home for treatment.  Please check your daughter carefully before arriving camp.  Insuring she does not arrive camp with head lice will prevent disappointment to her and inconvenience to you.

FLU
Although we have not had an issue with the flu at camp, we would like to take appropriate precautions to protect our campers and staff.  Please do not bring your daughter to camp if she has a fever or has had a fever within the last 24 hours.  Also, if your daughter or family member has been exposed to the flu within the last seven days, please call camp to speak with our nurses.

CAFFEINE ALERT
If your daughter consumes a decent amount of caffeine, i.e. Starbucks or energy drinks, please try to gradually reduce her consumption prior to camp.  We have noticed that some girls experience caffeine withdrawal symptoms the first few days of camp.  It would be a shame to let that get in the way of her fun.
 REMINDERS
  • Please do not forget your riding helmet and riding shoes and make sure they fit properly.
  • Please do not bring any food to camp.  We do not allow the girls to keep food in the cabins.
  • Parents and campers, please wear comfortable clothing and shoes as you will do quite a bit of walking once you arrive at camp.
