Swimming, Canoeing, Kayaking and Tubing
Every Camper Learns to be at Home in the Water
Swimming,
Canoeing, Kayaking and Tubing are a big part of the fun of going to camp. Can you imagine
anything better than tubing down the cool Cacapon River on a summer day or floating
along the river in a canoe.
We believe swimming is an important life skill. Water Safety Instructors certified by the American Red Cross oversee instruction for all levels. Organized pool games and free swims are also part of the daily swimming program.
What better
place to learn the basics of canoeing and kayaking than on the Cacapon River, one of
the most scenic in the eastern United States. Instructors are certified by the American
Canoe and Kayaking Association.
Tubing is a refreshing and relaxing pastime on this beautiful river. Lifeguards and other counselors join the girls in this delightful activity.
Swimming and canoeing counselors are American Red Cross water Safety Instructors and Lifeguards. Our entire aquatics program is operated in accordance with American Red Cross Standards.
The two heated pools and the Cacapon River complement each other to offer a delightful variety of water activities.
